Level cap already? Freakin' nerds...

Last night on the Belmont server we had our shard first on level cap. It is always interesting to see nerds cut down other nerds over a game they are both playing. From what I've heard level cap has been met on other servers and this does not surprise me a bit. Too bad its gonna be lonely at the top. I am fairly sure at this point in head start that the main population of Rift is sitting around lvl 20-35 or so.

I am curious to see how quickly guilds that have moved from other games into rift will hit level cap and then move into the raid content. This may take a little while as people play at different speeds and finding all the proper players / classes takes a while, but I don't see it taking too long. After talking to many of my fellow guild mates in WOW we are all curious how "fun" the end game content will be. So far all I have done is Realm of the Fae, but for a first dungeon I have to say it was very entertaining. We'll just all have to get to level cap and check the raid encounters out, but until then its all speculation.

I'm in!

Many people have been complaining on the forums and the facebook page about the server que right after head start has gone live. This should be expected like any other MMO that the first day / several weeks the servers might have issues. Rift has sold 1million Pre Order games, which means potentially that many people could be logging in on the same time. So if your pissed about waiting, get over it. It will get better with time, I dont know of any MMO that has not gotten better. Our wait between two accounts was 45 minutes for one and 1:10 for the other. But as they open new servers it will get much better.

Come on Shards!

Its been a minute since we've been excited to the point of counting the minutes till servers (or shards) in a game go live. Even though both of us have a day job we will be at least popping in on our break to roll our toons and get our names saved. You never know when someone else wants the same name. It will be interesting to see what the rush is like in game. With launches before I've seen questing hubs so covered up you can't even hardly click on the npc, I'm sure this will be no different in some ways since the excitement for this game is so high. But it may not be quite as a bad with the head start. Then again it is very possible that a large portion of the player base that was in the beta is treating the head start like launch day like we are. Here come the rifts!
